Automotive sector: A comparative analysis between Morocco and Argentina

Abstract

This study presents a comprehensive analysis of the automotive industry in Morocco and Argentina from 2010 to 2024, comparing production patterns, exports, domestic sales, and key public policies for sectoral development. Using quantitative and qualitative methods, we assess the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis) of each country within the industry. Findings reveal that Morocco has emerged as a key export hub to Europe and Africa, while Argentina exhibits unstable production, primarily oriented towards the Mercosur market. The article concludes by offering strategic recommendations aimed at enhancing the global competitiveness of both countries.
