Current Issue

Vol. 31 No. 1 (2025): enero-marzo

This issue of the journal Ciencias Holguín offers a rigorous and multidisciplinary compilation of research addressing contemporary challenges in the social, economic, legal, and educational fields. Among the featured studies is a comprehensive bibliometric analysis on the competitiveness approach in tourist destinations, revealing emerging trends and areas of opportunity for the sector’s sustainable development. Likewise, the comparative analysis of trade union freedom in the private sector between Ecuador and Argentina provides a critical perspective on labor conditions and regulatory frameworks affecting the protection of fundamental rights. This overview is complemented by research on the effectiveness of seizures and auctions in Ecuadorian executive proceedings, as well as a strategic analysis aimed at optimizing management in the Escambray Dairy Products Company, evidencing the practical application of scientific knowledge for organizational improvement.

In the educational field, the issue presents innovative methodological proposals, such as the implementation of active strategies enhanced by artificial intelligence to promote scientific inquiry in natural sciences at the upper basic education level, and the use of gamification to strengthen mathematics learning in general basic education students. In parallel, it delves into the influence of digital technologies on the media, with special attention to the proliferation of fake news and its sociocultural impact. Additionally, key aspects of public administration are examined in the context of the updating of the Cuban socio-economic model, the granting of credit financing to agricultural projects by a banking institution such as Bandec in Holguín, Cuba, and the legal challenges arising from mining, particularly in relation to constitutional regulations and the rights of nature.
