In Cuban municipalities, the localization of the Sustainable Development Goals through alignment with the Municipal Development Strategies is a challenge. The article presents a study on strategic localization actions in 19 Cuban municipalities. The general objective of the research was to identify the relationship of strategic localization initiatives that respond to policies, programs and projects with the Sustainable Development Goals. Theoretical methods such as analysis and synthesis and deductive hypothetical methods were used. In addition, empirical methods were used under which mathematical-statistical tools were employed. The level of relationship of 20 actions of 19 municipalities with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals was identically determined. The study constitutes an empirical verification of the strategic localization of the Sustainable Development Goals in Cuban municipalities.
