Procedure forthe management of preservation in heritage works

The present investigation aims to extend the corrective maintenance periods in heritage buildings. This has been based on the systematic identification of affectations, which favors better and effective decision-making based on the consensus of multidisciplinary and multi-
sectorial working groups in a flexible and systematic process. By using a procedure which contains the necessary parameters to apply preventive actions in the pre-investment stage of
the preservation projects, through transformations that are perceived from a correct preparation and evaluation of the works and thus maintain the property in good condition in the face of the
passage of time. For this purpose, theoretical methods such as analysis-synthesis, historical-logical and the system approach, and empirical methods such as scientific observation and
documentary analysis were applied. This made it possible to generate changes and favorable impacts on the properties as a contribution to the care, protection and defense of these premises.
