Control and improvement ofeditorial quality management

Abstract

The objective of the research was to design tools for the control and improvement of editorial
quality management. For this, an analysis of the editorial management processes, common
points and differences with the provincial newspapers was carried out. The tools were proposed based on the modification of a procedure for quality management in provincial
newspapers, which allowed for an understanding of the behavior of the main indicators of
editorial quality. Theoretical, empirical and statistical methods were used. The information
obtained allowed characterizing the editorial management from a differential analysis of the
scientific publishers and the provincial newspapers. The main tool for the control and
improvement of the main indicators was designed. The proposed procedure allowed
evaluating the main quality indicators and formulating improvement strategies.
