The use of digital tools is now a key pillar in the teaching-learning process. This study employed a qualitative methodology with a non-experimental approach.. The objective is to diagnose how teachers use these tools in class. It is proposed to design a course on the proper application of digital tools in the curriculum, both in core and complementary subjects. The aim was to improve teaching through the use of free-access applications. The course structure was organized into modules adapted to the reality of the rural institution and validated by experts in the field. In a second phase, the training is expected to be implemented and improvements observed in the students. It is concluded that a well-designed course, tailored to the institutional context, will enable teachers to be trained and improve their teaching strategies. Active participation is encouraged through the use of technological tools.
