Comprehensive training with labor competencies at the University of Manabí, Ecuador

The University of Manabí, Ecuador implements a comprehensive training model based on labor competencies to ensure that its graduates are trained and efficient professionals. The main objective of the work is the curricular transformation of university degrees, integrating knowledge, skills and values. The methods include the redesign of study plans under the developmental curriculum resizing principle, considering pedagogical, attitudinal and scientific-technological dimensions. A concrete result is the application of this model, where it seeks to directly favor the professional performance of future graduates. The main conclusion is that this competency-based approach responds to the demands of the current labor market and aligns with trends in Ecuadorian higher education, training more complete and competitive professionals.
