Training program aimed at the rescue and conservation of the mangrove ecosystem of the northern and south coast of the province of Guantanamo, Cuba.

As part of the project: Conservation and management of the mangrove forests of the province of Guantánamo, directed by the university of said province, a training program was developed aimed at the rescue and conservation of the Guantanamo mangroves on the North and South coast, with the objective of contributing to environmental education regarding the integrated management of coastal zones, aimed at the main decision-makers, managers and other actors involved. For this, theoretical and empirical methods of documentary information, previous diagnoses about the current situation of said mangroves, as well as cartographic information tools were used. The program complied with Resolution No. 138 of the Ministry of Higher Education for such purposes and was fundamentally based on the directives and principles of the Integrated management of cuban coastal zones. It responded to the needs of the project and was executed by the University of Guantánamo.
