CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR FINANCING SMES IN THE PROVINCE OF EL ORO.

Abstract

The research focused on analyzing the existing financing barriers and opportunities for SMEs in the province of El Oro, using a quantitative approach that employed a survey of 150 companies and factorial and correlational analysis. The findings identified a considerable dependence on bank credit and moderate use of government programs, incentives, and digital tools, while internal financial management is limited. It also showed that the requirements requested, management capacity, and use of opportunities are connected. This highlights the need to improve financial education and simplify processes.
