Field practices as a pathway for adaptation to climate change in the Biology degree

Abstract

Currently, it is essential that university students possess a solid understanding of ecology, as well as the ability to identify and address problems caused by the inadequate relationship between humans and the environment, and the effects of climate change in the local area where the school is located. Given the importance of this topic, this research proposes the development of didactic procedures for climate change adaptation through field practices in the Biology program. This research presents a mixed-methods approach, drawing on theory related to Environmental Education and the current challenges of climate change, as well as the requirements for its integration into academic programs. The research methodology employed leads to assessments and inferences that facilitated the development of didactic procedures for their subsequent implementation in practice.
