Strategic alliance management in the tourism supply chain: a tool for its management

The growing complexity and competitiveness of the tourist sector, intensified by the globalization and the pressure of the market, it has generated the necessity to strengthen the administration of strategic alliances in the supply chains. These alliances allow to improve the operative efficiency, to reduce costs and to optimize the quality of the service. The investigation proposes a model of processes sustained in the methodology Business Process Management (BPM), supplemented with elements of the cycle of continuous improvement PDCA whose objective is to structure and to perfect the administration of strategic alliances in the sector. For its development, a literature review was carried out, identifying key phases and modeling processes. Among the most outstanding discoveries the importance of the cooperation is underlined to generate synergies and to strengthen the resilience of the tourist sector. It is suggested to adopt the pattern proposed to improve the taking of strategic decisions and he/she thinks about the necessity of future investigations.
