Abstract

The fulfillment of the Pillars of Education for the 21st Century and the objectives of the Development Agenda in the current Cuban context require educational psychologists capable of effectively resolving the problems that arise from practice. To this end, research was conducted to delve deeper into assertiveness as a fundamental skill for fulfilling their roles in educational institutions. This research was carried out during the initial training process of the Bachelor of Education in Pedagogy and Psychology, particularly during the research practicum. The objective was to model methodological procedures that would allow them to provide guidance using assertiveness as a basic professional skill. The methodology employed was based on theoretical methods and a case study. The results achieved were evident in the establishment of assertive communication when carrying out educational psychology interventions in school, family, and community contexts.
