Howto evaluate the software products’ quality of the public innovation laboratory

Abstract

With the computerization of society, the need for having metrics to evaluate the quality of software products that are placed in the hands of public servers and citizens in general increases. The interest of this work is to propose an indicator to evaluate the quality of software
products according to NC-ISO / IEC 25010: 2016, to be implemented in the public innovation laboratory of the University of Holguín. A methodology is used that structures in a few steps the elements for calculating the weight and assessing the essential dimensions of softwareproducts. The methods used range from the analysis-synthesis, the induction-deduction, the
documentary review, to the survey and interviews with experts. Its conclusions highlight the relevance of the research and the importance for this laboratory and other software developers,
the implementation of the indicator as a measure of suitability for use.
