Proposed categorization for nautical instructors at Marlin S.A Holguín Marina

Abstract

The province of Holguín has two marinas and several nautical bases strategically located on beaches and in tourist resorts. In order to expand nautical activity and attract new market niches by 2030, human resources must be optimized. A diagnostic analysis of management and nautical instructors at Marina Marlin S.A. revealed deficiencies in the training and categorization of existing personnel. In response, this research proposes a categorization system for nautical instructors based on a set of performance indicators. Thirteen key indicators have been defined that differentiate three categories of instructors, thus contributing to the ongoing training and professional development of staff. This initiative will facilitate the implementation of new projects aimed at expanding and improving nautical activity in the region.
