The Volume 31, Issue 2 (April–June 2025) of our Revista Ciencias Holguín presents a multidisciplinary selection addressing key topics for sustainable development, business management, and social and labor rights in Latin American and global contexts. Noteworthy studies include the integration of advanced technologies in aggregate planning within Cuban wholesale companies and environmental preservation amid mining exploitation in Ecuador. The issue also features analyses on the survival factors of SMEs in Machala, municipal socioeconomic indicators, and comparative dynamics of the automotive sector between Morocco and Argentina.
In the legal and social sphere, the role of the Ecuadorian state in the comprehensive reparation of victims of sexual crimes is examined, alongside the admissibility of DNA evidence in paternity recognition cases and the impact of femicide in Latin America. Additionally, research on integrated risk management in supply chains as a support for corporate social responsibility and the constitutional perspective of occupational risk from a gender viewpoint is presented. Education is prominently featured with innovative pedagogical proposals, such as using Canva to enhance academic performance in Language and Literature and speech therapy for schoolchildren with hearing deficits. Finally, relevant legal aspects concerning exclusion clauses in collective bargaining and confidentiality in special investigative techniques in Ecuador are addressed.
This issue offers a broad and up-to-date overview that contributes to academic debate and policy formulation in strategic areas for the region.
